Recyclable Fair

Last time, I wrote about disposing mobile phones.  It seems that I am destined to write about disposal of  non-biobegradable  items again with the information I read in today’s major daily.  I want to do one daily good turn so I am sharing the information to those who might be interested and have not read the advertisement.

I am referring to the  “Ayala Mall Recyclables Fair”. The ad says we may dispose/sell the following items: Used lead-acid batteries ( Genset, UPS, and motor batteries); E-waste ( non-working electronic and electrical appliancesa, obsolete CPUs and monitors); Plastic and metal waste ( VHS and betamax tapes, cassette tapes, bottles, containers, sando bags, plastic furniture, aluminum cans, tin cans); Printer cartridges ( Toner and ink cartridges).

The ad also says that these are the items for proper disposal only :  tarpaulin streamers, household batteries, polystyrene packaging, mobile phones, batteries and chargers.  Since I saw the ad bit late, February 27 is the last day of the fair for February and it will be in your favorite hangout- Trinoma. specifically in Trinoma Open Carpark.  But don’t despair because the fair is done regularly and  these are the schedules and venues :  Every 1st Friday- Paseo de Magallanes; Every 2nd Friday - Golderest Parking Lot; Every 3rd Friday - ATC Parking Lot; and Every 4th Friday - TriNoma Open Carpark.

So what are we waiting for. Let’s join this fair to rid our houses of unwanted trash, to add to our stipend ( that’s a nice incentive) but more importantly , to reduce harm to our environment. If you want to know more about the fair, you may email swm@ayalafoundation.org

Shall we see each other every 4th Friday of the month in TriNoma for a great cause?
